LES SKATOPHILES, what an amazing name ! Created just to be remarked ( translation : play on word with ska (the music) and scatophiles (people who eat and fuck in shit) . Just by reading the name, I guessed it was ska / grind. After hearing « Demo de merde » (translation : « shit demo »), I realised I was right. The sound quality is low ( recording in rehearsal) but the music is very original. Voices saturate from time to time which can show a lack of professionalism. The bass sound is higher than guitar like in ska music. There’s cover of cartoon’s music (Bouba my little bear) with the SKATOPHILES touch. Songs as long as grind one (and approching with the brutal spirit). A very original band, it’s just missing a better sound quality.
