Hello guys, can you begin this interview with a short biography of the band?

Zedhers were formed up in 1998 by cousins Agonia and Azeman. After the first self-produced demo entitled “we will die all”, with a much more metal classic style, we decided to give a definitive and destructive turning point to the whole Zedhers’ concept inserting new members in the band, and basing our texts on horror movies (our passion) putting in musical components swinging between black, death and trash metal. You can hear the final result of this mixture in our new demo “Metal Possession”.

Can you give me your definition of the underground scene?

The underground scene is composed by many bands not still emerged (and that maybe will never emerge) and here in Italy is much more lusty than in other countries.

How did you choose to call the band “Zehder”? What does it mean for you?

Zedher is the title of an italian movie by Pupi Avati. The original title is Zedher, without h, but we added this letter to make it more personal. Zedhers deal in music and texts with themes inspired on horror movies, italian and non, and Zehder is a blood-curdling and sick movie, just like our music.

What are your influences? Your music sounds as Thrash/Black with some Heavy metal touch, is it that you where searching for?

Our musical influences are many, we listen at metal 360°. Regarding our style, we actually play a thrash/black with classic metal influences, but being more careful there’s a range of horror sounds and sensations surrounding the whole. Zedhers play true estreme horror metal!!!

How do you compose your songs? Anyone compose at home or do you prefer to compose together?

Everything starts from Azeman’s riff, a real riff machine, composing all alone, and then, in studio, everybody show himself in the track to be composed.

What is the “Kick Promotion Agency” doing to help the band?

The Kick Promotion Agency is a valid producer, that is, Kick Promotion staff sends all over the world our material, it exports our music everywhere.

Can you tell me some words about the underground scene in Italy?

The underground scene in Italy is lusty, there are thousands of valid bands, specially in Rome, but the problem lies on the live activity. A band doesn’t succeed in doing more than 5-6 concerts per year, because of the lack of a valid organization and a valid metal culture, here in Italy.

Do you have any side projects? And any future projects?

All of us is completely engaged with Zedhers, in the future we will publish our first official cd and we will do a huge live activity (if they will allow it).

How were your CD perceived by the media’s?

It is more than one year that “Metal possession” runs between webzine e magazine, up to now opinions were good from both sides at 99% and the same regarding our live shows, we are often welcomed with endless headbanging.
